UK Safer Internet Center - National Conferences on Online Safety
May 24, 2012 : The UK Safer Internet Center draws the attention on the Internet dangers by organizing conferences. Ken Corish, Online Safety Lead Consultant, talks about using a TweetWall during one of those conferences.
What was your event?
National conferences on online safety in London and Edinburgh Esafety Live! 500 delegates drawn from education, multi agency and industry.
What is your job?
Education adviser and online safety lead consultant.
What was the goal of the TweetWall?
To keep delegates and exhibitors informed of events, resources and external links from the 18 workshops that ran across the day. Capture and display opinion from delegates. Displayed across a number of plasma signage screens around the venue plus a large wall in the exhibition area. It was very well received. Many delegates reading and responding to wall.
Do you think TweetWalls might be usefull in your field?
Definitely. We intend to use one at our next set of conferences.
What did you think of our service?
Fantastic support and response from Tweetwall in getting us setup. Real empathy and understanding of need. Will work with them again.
